In the use of filter presses, the filter cloth plays a very important role. It directly affects the filter effect of the filter press. Therefore, when using the filter press, everyone needs to select the filter cloth suitable for the equipment itself so as to further Guarantee filtration accuracy.
In the filter press, the filter cloth plays a role in intercepting solids and dialysis liquid, and also supports the filter cake in the filter chamber, so the choice of the filter cloth is very important.
First, woven filter cloth. Such a woven filter cloth or filter screen is the most used in the industry. Such a filter cloth is woven from natural or synthetic fibers, fine metal wires, etc. The advantages of such a filter cloth are clear composition. The result and performance are stable and do not cause secondary pollution of the liquid. It can also be flexibly produced according to different equipments, and the processing is convenient. The pore size of the filter cloth can also vary from large to small, so now more than 85% of the filter cloths of the industrial filter presses are such.
Second, pile up the filter cloth. Such filter cloths are used less, and some particles with high adsorption capacity are stacked. Such particles are: diatomaceous earth filter plates. An important drawback of such filter media is poor dialysis. Therefore, it can only be used in liquids containing small amounts of solid particles.
Third, industrial filter paper or porous polymer membrane. The uniform feature of this type of filter cloth is that it is extremely small and can reach as little as a few nanometers. Therefore, such a filter cloth is used to intercept and filter tiny particles and obtain a very clear filtrate. That is to say that such filter fabrics are used in industries that require high levels of filtrate, such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, and biochemistry.
